MIAVIT and Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Germany establish joint foundation
MIAVIT and Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Germany have established a joint foundation to support sustainable projects over the long term.
The foundation’s establishment is centered on the One Health approach, which views the health of humans, animals, and the environment as inextricably linked. The foundation’s work focuses on pastoralist communities in East Africa.
During the foundation’s launch celebration, the partners reflected on their collaboration to date and provided insights into the challenges and opportunities of their work on the ground. The foundation aims to strengthen their joint commitment over the long term and support the sustainable implementation of future projects.
“As a company in the animal nutrition sector, we deal with the health and well-being of animals on a daily basis. Through the foundation, we want to extend our responsibility beyond our economic activities and work together to make a sustainable contribution to improving the living conditions of people and animals in East Africa,” emphasizes Dr. Lea Middendorf of MIAVIT, who serves on the foundation’s board.
MIAVIT has been supporting the organization since 2024. This partnership is now being further developed through the foundation.
